The snow begins.

So now we have snow... Its been coming down on and off since last weekend which is good news for all of you that are planning on coming this weekend and in coming weekends to ski. There should be plenty of white fluff for your enjoyment.

Last weekend we celebrated our new snow by getting out and doing a little hike to a nearby hut (Even though all of our boots and snow pants and stuff are still in storage!). The hut was closed but he view was amazing and the restaurant at the bottom, which is renowned for its windbeutel, or Bavarian cream puffs, more than made up for it.

Also in recent news, we broke down and called about a house that was at a realtor agency and like it pretty well. Its in Hammersbach, which is just outside of Garmisch, and is literally the closest town/village to the mountains. Our house would pretty much be the closest one to the Zugspitze in the whole area. Which is beautiful, but also means we would get about 1 hr. of sun a day during the winter. If that. Lots of hiking trails and ski slopes nearby though! We will write more about it if we actually end up getting it, the housing people have been negotiating with the realtor.

Hope everyone is doing well! Happy Turkey Day!
