Hi everyone, we haven't been on any trips in a while, but still have had our hands full these past 2 weeks. Our friends Colleen and Matthew spent a few days with us before flying to Greece for a cruise then back to the states for a new job. We are going to miss them! Then last week, our friends Dave and Elke from Graf visited while down here for a conference with their 10 month old son Lukas. It was fun to get the boys together to play/stare at each other! What a difference 6 months makes with babies. Lukas is a loud chatterbox who can scoot all around, sit up so easily and so playful! Cooper seems so tiny next to him, even though Cooper is not very tiny.
I still have not been able to get out and climb much. Every attempt seems to fail when we bring Cooper along. If he doesn't get in good naps, he crys and is not a happy baby, which makes a very unhappy mom. So, I have been staying at home most week nights instead, taking walks with him and getting in my time with him since I work all day. Frank on the other hand sees Cooper all day and is ready to get out and go climbing or do something when I come home. He is sending 13a and 13b routes left and right and stronger/fitter than ever. Poophead. I am jealous. I will be taking off Thursday evenings to go to the bouldering gym to keep these fading muscles somewhat used to pulling down from now on though.
We have lots coming up! Frank flies to Georgia on Saturday to train a class. I will have Cooper alone and bring him in to work with me for a few days, and then our new nanny Meghan will arrive. Yes, we decided to go ahead and get a nanny and I can't wait!! She is going to be such a huge help and seems like a great person and we are very excited for her to come. Seems like an awesome opportunity for us all! Then, I will fly with Cooper to home and meet Frank there for a week, and then we head to Atlanta for me to attend training while Frank takes care of Cooper at the hotel and works from there. So looking forward to seeing family and showing off Cooper to everyone :) So not looking forward to flying alone with Cooper on a 10.5 hour plane ride, then another 1.5 hour ride... Oh boy. Any tips out there? I went ahead and bought Cooper his own seat so I wouldn't have to hold him the whole time if the flight is full, so that will help. Jet lag, new schedules, new people, this could be a recipe for a very unhappy baby. Let's hope not.
Here is another video and some photos to hold you all over until you get to see Cooper in person in June :)
