So now that we have everything set up in our new apartment we're finally getting around to posting again. Where to start?

As we said before its been a busy couple of weeks with no end to the madness in sight. We got back Monday from 10 days in the states so Mandy could go to her mentorship orientation and we could arrange another shipment of mostly baby stuff to come over here. We had a wonderful time there, saw lot of friends and family, had a couples baby shower, ate out lots, and got to climb in the Red in perfect temps. What more could you ask for?

Since we've been back its been pretty dreary here in Garmisch and today was the first day we've been able to see the mountains. It's kind of nice when its cold and cloudy here though, because you know up at altitude its getting snow and there are still plenty of gorgeous hikes we can go on at nights, and nowhere calls for cuddling up with a book by the fire with tea or hot cocoa more than in a mountain town like this you know?

And today the clouds broke and sure enough there were beautiful white-capped mountains all around. The pups and I just got back from a monster 4 hr. hike, boulder hunting as usual, with clear blue skies and so much sun I was in a t-shirt. Before that, we went to look at two prospective houses to rent, one in Oberau which we didn't like much at all and one in Partenkirchen which was awesome. The only problem with the one we liked so much is that it isn't available until March! The obvious or not so obvious problems with that are: 1. We will have a baby before then. 2. Our allowance to live in an apartment or wherever until we find a house (AKA TQSA for those Army folks) will run out. 3. Our household goods shipments can't be in storage that long. Not to mention I don't know where we would stay until then because everywhere around here is booked during Christmas which brings up yet another dilemma in our lives I won't delve into.
