Cooper William Byron is Finally Here!

As you probably already heard, Cooper William Byron was born on February 6th at 20:46weighing 4000 grams (8 pounds and 13.1 ounces) and 56cm (22.05 inches) long. Big boy! I am finally home and catching up on e-mails. I had to have an epidural and a c-section unfortunately after trying 10 long hours to have him naturally because his head was so big! Which meant staying in the hospital for 5 nights and days, waiting to go home! I will not bore you all with the painful details of the labor process, but I was so happy to have Frank there the whole time with me, breathing through each contraction and holding my hands.

He is beautiful! We are very proud parents, and can't believe we are now. What an adjustment! More exciting news is that my sister Missy and her husband Jacob gave birth 3 days after to their first son, Cole Thomas Chambers. He weighed the same as Cooper! Can't wait till we can get the boys together.

We have about 18 inches of snow and its still coming or I would take Cooper out for a walk, but have only been on short walks alone with Frank while the grandparents watch Cooper inside. Hopefully soon we can take him out with us. Definetly enjoying the rest though and am healing up well. My stitches were taken out last night by our midwife who has been so helpful.

Time to grab Cooper since he is waking from his nap. Thank you all for the flood of e-mails and congratulations! Can't wait until you all can meet him in person.
