Happy Birthday Cooper!

Now that we live in Kentucky and aren't off visiting foreign places all the time, I guess we don't feel as inspired to blog! However, for all you Cooper fans out there, here is a little update.

For Halloween, Cooper and Cole dressed up in their German Tracht (lederhosen). Once Cooper got his first treat, he was incredibly giddy and ran from house to house. It was so funny!

For Thanksgiving, we ate at the Byrons first, and then went up to Ft. Thomas to celebrate. Cooper and Cole sat at their very own table.

For Christmas, we spent it at home! My parents and Missy and Jacob and Cole came over for Christmas Eve dinner and we opened a few gifts. On Christmas Day, Cooper came down to a car, new bike, and a few other little gifts and he was overjoyed. He spent hours getting in and out of his car, putting on his sunglasses and putting stuff in the trunk area.

For the New Year, we went to Chatanooga TN with our friends the Leblanc family for some bouldering. We got in some bouldering, and a trip to the Children's Museum and some swimming at the pool in the hotel, and the babes had a wonderful time being on vacation.

Now, we're already midway into Feb! Cooper turned 2 this weekend! Frank and I took him to the Children's Museum Saturday, out to lunch, then to swim at the YMCA in the evening and out to dinner! He had a great day. On his birthday, we took him to the gorge! The sun came out and he loved climbing around at the base. Came home early and had the McDaniel family over for sandwiches, cake, and gifts!

Cooper's new favorite word seems to be no! He likes to tell Maya "no no no no no" lately and put up his hand to push her away : ( He also likes to tell monsters and sharks in books, pictures, no no no. I guess Maya fits into that category to him. He fortunately tends to leave ol' Maple alone. Cooper has been a good eater since day one, and is still easy on that spectrum. He loves vegetables thankfully. His favorite toy is pretty much centered on trains, and loves Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Monsters Inc.... He has also started really taking an interest in climbing :) We practice with him on the treadwall. Time to get him a harness! Right now I think he is at least 31 pounds? And 3 feet tall. And when you ask him how old he is, he gladly tells you "two!!!" Maybe by next year he will be able to say the other numbers. At least he has his current age down pat!
